Welcome to Summer Camp 2009
Friday, July 3, 2009: Today was a perfect day for fun at the Huntington YMCA. All campers wore red, white and blue to celebrate Independence Day and participated in Unit Games. All groups did a fantastic job with their Y spirit and the challenges at unit games. The groups that had the best song and showed the best sportsmanship were the Bears from Unit 1, the Jaguars from Unit 2, the Orangutans from Unit 3, and the Raptors from Unit 4. Next week is Olympic Week and on Monday campers will begin to participate in softball and tee-ball. Campers that are in 4th and 5th grade in groups P, Q, R, S, & T will be going on a field trip Monday to Laser Kingdom. All of those campers should bring a bagged lunch and can bring money if they would like to play video games or buy a snack. The Teens are also going on a field trip Monday to play laser tag and should arrive to camp on time so they can enjoy their trip. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
